Lack of conformity means goods do not match the contract or the qualities a buyer is legally entitled to expect.
For a slab, wrong species, dimensions or undisclosed damage may be relevant. A clearly photographed and described natural feature is assessed in that context.
The term belongs to consumer law. It is more specific than simply disliking colour or figure after delivery.
