Surface area
Surface area is the size of a slab face, usually expressed in square metres.
For irregular slabs it can come from a traced outline rather than length multiplied by one average width. That gives a better basis for comparison and finish planning.
Surface area is not volume. Thickness must also be included when estimating cubic quantity or weight.
