Grade
Grade groups timber by rules for features, defects, dimensions or intended use.
Rules differ between structural timber, appearance hardwood and individual merchant stock. The same letter can mean something different under another system.
Read the grading basis and the actual photos. A grade never replaces inspection of a one-of-one slab.
