Worktop
A worktop is a finished working surface for a kitchen, utility area or other fitted space.
North American listings often call it a countertop, while Australian English may use benchtop. All refer to the installed surface, not the raw slab.
Plan cut-outs, wall shape, movement and sealing before machining. Wet areas need special attention at end grain and openings.
