Thickness
Thickness is the distance between the two broad faces of a board or slab.
Rough-sawn stock can vary from point to point. Flattening and planing reduce the final thickness, sometimes by more than expected on a warped piece.
Ask whether the figure is minimum, average or nominal. Base joinery on the finished thickness you can achieve.
