Black locust

Black locust is Robinia pseudoacacia, a dense and naturally durable hardwood.

Its heartwood is yellow to greenish brown when fresh and darkens with age. It is used outdoors as well as for demanding interior work.

European sellers often call it robinia or false acacia. It is not a true Acacia species.
