Length
Length is the longest dimension of a slab, measured along the grain.
The sale length may include end checks, paint or an uneven end that must be trimmed. A clean finished length can therefore be shorter.
Mark required cut positions before ordering. Leave allowance for squaring the ends and avoiding defects.
