About KORENA
Verified premium hardwood, sold piece by piece.
KORENA is a piece-level online marketplace for premium hardwood. Every slab is photographed, measured, and verified at the partner yard before it goes up for sale, so makers, workshops, and studios across the EU can commit to the exact board they need without driving to the yard. The aim is bigger than one yard: to build the verified premium-hardwood layer of the EU, one searchable network of documented stock, priced and shipped per country.
Who's behind KORENA
Pavel Nikolov
Founder & Engineer
Software engineer and serial entrepreneur from Sofia, with a prior exit (ApiHawk, acquired 2024). He started KORENA to turn a phone into a measuring tool for hardwood slabs and ship every board with a wood passport, so a maker can commit to the exact piece without ever standing next to it.

We don't sell lumber by the cubic metre. We sell one specific board at a time, each with its own photographs, true dimensions, thickness, moisture, weight, and origin. You see the exact piece you'll receive, not a category stand-in. Tell us what you're making and the catalogue surfaces the boards that fit.
How it works

Captured at the yard
Our iOS app turns a phone into a measuring tool. It records a measured outline, true dimensions, and a full photo set for each slab, without the board ever leaving the yard.

Listed with a passport
Every board is listed with a wood passport: species, origin, supplier, drying history, and grading, carried by a QR tag. Built to be EUDR-ready as the regulation rolls in.

Shipped from the yard
The slab stays at the partner yard until it sells, then ships to you on pallet freight. One yard per order, priced and taxed correctly for your store.
The passport
A board is only as trustworthy as what you can verify about it. Each piece carries an honest measurement and a documented chain (species, source, and drying) so a buyer can commit to a slab they have never stood next to. That record is the product as much as the wood is.
Where we ship
The first store is in Bulgaria, with pricing and checkout shaped to the store you're buying from. Heavy slabs move as pallet freight, calculated transparently at checkout. As more partner yards come online across the EU, the rule stays the same: one clear yard per order, correct VAT per store, a single-store checkout, and no surprises at the finish line.

korena.eu is operated by Martial Labs Ltd. ("Маршъл Лабс" ЕООД), a single-member private limited company registered in Bulgaria under EIK 207453941 (VAT BG207453941).
