Accessibility Statement
"Martial Labs" Ltd. trading as KORENA is committed to making korena.eu accessible to as many people as possible, including users with disabilities, in line with the EU Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) which entered into application on 28 June 2025 and applies to ecommerce services placed on the EU market.
This statement applies to the KORENA marketplace storefront at korena.eu only. The KORENA Capture iOS app is an internal staff tool and is out of scope for the European Accessibility Act.
1. Conformance status
This statement applies to all pages and functionality of korena.eu including the catalogue, product pages, search, account creation, cart, and checkout.
We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the technical standard implementing the EU Accessibility Act for web content, as harmonised under EN 301 549.
Current conformance level: not yet formally assessed. A WCAG 2.1 AA audit by an independent third party will be performed before the first paid customer order is accepted, and this statement will be updated to reflect the measured findings at that time.
Commitment: We are working toward Level AA conformance and maintain an active programme of remediation. The conformance statement above is reviewed at every release and updated as issues are resolved or newly identified.
2. Measures we take
We take the following measures to ensure accessibility of korena.eu:
- Accessibility considerations are part of our design system (see
docs/KORENA Design System/), including colour-contrast thresholds, focus states, and minimum target sizes. - Component templates in the storefront codebase ship with semantic HTML, ARIA attributes where appropriate, and keyboard support as a baseline.
- Automated accessibility checks run as part of our pre-release process.
- Manual accessibility review is performed before each major feature ships.
3. Tested browsers and assistive technologies
This Site is designed to be compatible with:
- Recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android.
- Common assistive technologies, including: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), and screen magnifiers.
The Site uses standard semantic HTML and CSS, JavaScript that progressively enhances the experience, and is responsive to viewport size and font-size preferences.
Specific browser versions, OS versions, and screen-reader compatibility will be documented after the formal third-party audit completes.
4. Known accessibility issues
No issues have yet been documented because no formal third-party accessibility audit has been performed. The first comprehensive WCAG 2.1 AA audit will be performed before the Site is opened to paid customer orders. Issues identified at that audit, including their nature, affected pages, expected remediation timeline, and workarounds, will be documented in this section with completion dates. In the interim, please report any accessibility barrier you encounter via §6.
5. Content not covered by the EAA
The EU Accessibility Act and this statement do not apply to:
- Pre-recorded media uploaded by us before 28 June 2025 (none expected at launch).
- Live audio/video (we don't broadcast).
- Content provided by third parties not under our control (e.g., third-party customer reviews, if and when they are introduced).
Third-party embedded content: Where third-party embedded content is present on the Site (e.g., a Stripe Checkout iframe), we link to the third party's own accessibility statement where available:
- Stripe Checkout: stripe.com/accessibility
6. Feedback and contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of korena.eu. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or if you need information from the Site in an alternative format:
- Email:
office@korena.eu(accessibility feedback, support, legal, and general inquiries all route to this mailbox) - Postal address for service: "Martial Labs" Ltd., ul. "Yordan Badev" 8a, 1700 Sofia, Bulgaria
Response commitment: We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 5–10 business days and to provide a substantive response, remediation plan, or workaround within 20 business days. If we cannot resolve a barrier on request, we will provide the information you need in the most accessible alternative format we can offer.
7. Enforcement and dispute resolution
If your accessibility feedback to us has not been addressed, you may complain to the competent national supervisory authority. In Bulgaria, complaints under the EU Accessibility Act fall to the Commission for Consumer Protection (Комисия за защита на потребителите, КЗП):
- Website: kzp.bg
- Address: Vrabcha Str. 1, Sofia 1000, Bulgaria
If you are habitually resident in another EU member state, you may complain to that state's designated supervisory authority for the EU Accessibility Act.
For out-of-court dispute resolution on consumer complaints more broadly, the designated Alternative Dispute Resolution body is the Conciliation Commission for Consumer Disputes (Помирителна комисия за потребителски спорове) at КЗП. Alternatively, you may refer complaints to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
8. Assessment method and audit
Current method (pre-launch): This statement is prepared on the basis of:
- Automated accessibility scanning using axe DevTools, WAVE, and Lighthouse.
- Manual accessibility review focused on critical user flows (catalogue, product, search, account, cart, checkout).
- Targeted manual testing with assistive technologies: NVDA and JAWS (Windows); VoiceOver (macOS, iOS); TalkBack (Android), and keyboard-only navigation.
Post-launch commitment: A formal third-party WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility audit will be performed before the first paid customer order and annually thereafter (or on significant UI changes). The audit scope will cover all Site pages and major functionality. The audit report and dates will be referenced in this statement and maintained on file. Auditor information and planned next audit date are listed at the foot of this document.
9. Languages
This statement is authored in English. Translations may be made available on the Site. Where required by law (notably for Bulgarian-resident users), the Bulgarian translation is the binding version.
