EUDR operator

Under the EUDR, an operator is a business that first places a relevant product on the EU market or exports it.

The role carries due-diligence duties tied to that act. A business may have a different role in another transaction.

Operator here is a defined legal role. It does not mean the person who runs a website, warehouse or machine.
