Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C

Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is a two-component hardwax oil that colours and protects interior wood in one coat. It bonds molecularly to the top microns of the wood within minutes, so it builds no film and leaves the grain and natural feel intact, with no overlaps and no starting marks.

One layer covers roughly 30 to 50 m² per litre. The finish is water- and heat-resistant and hard-wearing, which suits tabletops, worktops, stairs, floors, kitchens and bathrooms across solid wood, veneer and MDF. The oil carries 0% VOC and is food- and toy-safe (GreenGuard Gold, Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold, EN 71-3 toy safety, Food Contact Compliance).

Supplied as a 1 L Set A+B: the oil (component A) with the Accelerator (component B) for faster drying, faster curing and a stronger result. Mix roughly 3 parts A to 1 part B, apply within 4 to 6 hours of mixing, then wipe on and wipe off the excess within about 30 minutes. Drying takes 12 to 24 hours; the surface reaches roughly 80% cure in 2 days and full cure in 5.
