European walnut

European walnut is Juglans regia, also called English or Persian walnut.

Its colour can run from pale grey-brown to rich brown with darker streaks. Trees often yield narrower or more irregular boards than plantation black walnut.

Keep it separate from American black walnut and Claro walnut when comparing colour, supply and price.
